Before upgrading Velocity, please review the information in the “Upgrade Notes” section below.
For new installs: Please order part number VEL. The main CD in that package will install Velocity version 3.1 (build 3.1.17).
To get up-to-date from Velocity 3.0 or Velocity 2.6 Service Pack 2: Order and install part number VEL. This CD will sense the existence of 2.6sp2 (build 2.6.1.27) or version 3.0 (build 3.0.0.31) and will allow you to upgrade to 3.1 (build 3.1.17).
To get up-to-date from any version of Velocity between and including version 2.0 and 2.6sp1: Order part numbers VEL and VEL-UPDSUITE. Install VEL-UPDSUITE (to upgrade from your version to 2.6 sp2 (build 2.6.1.27)), then install VEL (to upgrade from 2.6sp2 to 3.1).
To get up-to-date from Velocity 1.0 or from non-Velocity software, please contact Hirsch.
Upgrade Notes:
-Customers should keep their Velocity software up to date as new versions are released in order to ensure maximum security of their facility.
-Customers are encouraged to apply Velocity software updates (which are issued between full-version releases) as they become available. Click to Documents & Downloads periodically to look for new updates.
-Customers should read the Release Notes (available on the CD or website) before executing upgrades and installs.
-Customers with non-typical installations (redundant servers, API/interoperability implementations, etc.) should check with Hirsch Professional Services for possible specialized upgrade procedures before installing new versions.
