Systems Support Specialist
The primary responsibility is to provide installation / maintenance
assistance and ensure availability of Access Control applications
by providing support services for the Dealer / End-user infrastructure.
Provide diagnoses for systems problems. Work with customer
personnel (by telephone and/or on-site) to achieve timely
solution of system / network problems. Test and verify new
configurations, work with customer’s personnel to correct
problems. Participate in the After Hours Emergency Phone Support
program. Be available to travel to remote job sites.
Required Attributes:
1. Enjoy helping customers resolve technical
problems from beginning to end
2. Prior experience in a Customer Service / Technical Services
related position
3. Be a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working with
other technical enthusiasts in a team environment
4. Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and performs
their duties with the highest level of professionalism
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
6. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL7/2000)
7. Knowledge of Network Infrastructures
8. Technical Documentation proficiency for distributing information
and instruction throughout the organization
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills; interfaces
with Customers, Engineering, Management and Non-Technical
departments
10. The ability to travel as required
11. Other duties as assigned
Recommended Attributes:
1. Knowledge of Hirsch DIGI*TRAC Access
Control or equivalent
2. Electronics / Electrical experience
3. Digital Video experience
